Fair Compensation & Anti-Exploitation Policy

Last Updated: July 30, 2026

1. Purpose and Core Philosophy

At Kobble, we are deeply committed to ensuring that our workforce is treated with dignity and respect. The foundation of this commitment is fair compensation. This policy is designed to strictly prohibit exploitation and to ensure that all tasks posted on the platform offer reasonable remuneration proportionate to the time, effort, and skill required.

We operate on a simple principle: Real work deserves real pay. We do not tolerate Assigners who attempt to leverage the platform to extract high-effort labor for unreasonably low compensation.

2. Prohibition of Exploitative Pricing

Assigners are strictly prohibited from posting tasks that offer compensation that is grossly disproportionate to the expected effort. A task is considered exploitative if it meets any of the following criteria:

  • High-Effort, Low-Reward: Tasks that take significant time (e.g., more than 30 minutes) but offer only micro-task level compensation (e.g., a few cents).
  • Unreasonable Skill Requirements: Tasks that require specialized skills, deep research, or complex problem-solving, but are priced at unskilled labor rates.
  • Hidden Work: Tasks where the instructions intentionally obscure the true scope of work, leading workers to perform substantially more work than initially advertised for the agreed-upon price.
  • Unfair Revision Loops: Forcing workers into endless cycles of revisions for a fixed, low price without offering additional compensation for changes in scope.

3. Assigner Responsibilities

As an Assigner on Kobble, it is your absolute responsibility to price your tasks fairly. You must:

  • Estimate Time Accurately: Honestly evaluate how long a task will take an average worker to complete successfully.
  • Calculate Fair Hourly Equivalents: Ensure that the total payout of a task, when divided by the estimated completion time, aligns with a reasonable and dignified hourly wage in the worker's region.
  • Be Transparent: Clearly state all requirements upfront so workers can make an informed decision before accepting the task.

4. Enforcement and Penalties

Kobble takes the enforcement of this policy extremely seriously. Our moderation team and automated systems actively monitor task pricing and worker feedback.

If an Assigner is found to be posting exploitative tasks, Kobble reserves the right to take immediate action, which may include:

  • Immediate Task Takedown: The offending task will be removed from the platform immediately, and all active assignments may be cancelled.
  • Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of the Assigner's account and inability to post new tasks.
  • Permanent Ban: For repeated or egregious violations, the Assigner's account will be permanently banned from the Kobble platform.
  • Forfeiture of Escrowed Funds: In cases where workers have already completed work on an exploitative task, we may forcibly release escrowed funds to compensate workers for their time before shutting down the task.

5. Reporting Exploitation

We rely on our community to help maintain a fair environment. Workers are highly encouraged to report any task that they believe violates this Fair Compensation Policy. Reports are kept strictly confidential, and Kobble will never penalize a worker for reporting a potentially exploitative task in good faith.
