Why Claiming Tasks You Can't Finish Ruins the Marketplace
Treat Claims Like Reservations
When you click "Claim" on a task, you are taking that slot away from thousands of other active workers. The assigner expects you to complete the work, and your peers missed out on the opportunity.
The Problem with Hoarding
Some new workers make the mistake of logging in and immediately clicking "Claim" on 20 different tasks, intending to "save them for later." They inevitably run out of time, and the task timers expire. This behavior is incredibly destructive:
- For the Assigner: Their campaign stalls. They have to wait hours for timers to expire before the slots open up again.
- For Other Workers: They are locked out of earning money because slots are falsely occupied.
The Etiquette Solution
Only claim a task if you are sitting down, focused, and ready to execute it right now. Complete the task, submit your proof, and then return to the board to claim your next one. Workers who consistently hoard and abandon tasks will trigger automated trust penalties, severely limiting their access to high-paying opportunities.
