Why is my Cancel Task button disabled?
We often get asked by assigners: "Why is my Cancel Task button disabled?" or "Why did the Cancel button disappear from my active task?"
The answer comes down to fairness and respecting the time of the workers on the Kobble platform.
The Mechanics of Task Cancellation
When you post a task, workers immediately begin reserving slots and working on your requirements. If a worker submits their proof of work, they have invested real time and effort to help you achieve your goal.
To ensure that workers are fairly compensated for completed work, Kobble prevents you from cancelling a task while there are pending submissions waiting for your review.
How to Unlock the Cancel Button
If you need to cancel a task (for example, if you've received enough submissions or the requirements have changed), you must first clear your review queue.
- Click the Review button on your task card.
- Carefully review each pending submission.
- Approve the valid submissions and reject the invalid ones.
Once your pending submissions count reaches 0, the Cancel button will automatically become enabled again. When you cancel the task, you will receive a refund to your funding balance for any slots that were not filled or approved.
By enforcing this rule, we keep Kobble a fair and trustworthy ecosystem for both assigners and workers.
